Summer Camps 2024

Summer camps at All Nations are open to the general public! Your child does not need to be an ANCS student.

​

With options from Competitive Robotics to Spanish Immersion, Drones, Coding (newly added!), Cooking and "SMART" (Science, Multiculturalism and Art) camps and more, your child will find their interests piqued!

Competitive Robotics

June 3-7 (3rd-8th grade, or students 15 years of age or younger by May 2025)

9 am- 2 pm

$300

If your child loves building advanced designs with Legos, or is aspiring to be on a competitive robotics team, then this session is for you. Competition Robotics Camp is for students interested in the competitive aspect of VEX robotics. Students will be introduced to the 2024 VEXIQ challenge and have just one week to plan their designs, build a robot, and put it to the test in a summer camp mini-tournament. Campers who complete this session are highly encouraged to try out for All Nations' competitive team for the 2024-25 season (August 2024 - March 2025). This camp is led by Mr. Michalik, ANCS’s STEM coordinator and head coach of competitive robotics teams that have won numerous regional awards, and who has helped guide several teams to the VEX World Championships for the past three years in a row.

Spanish Immersion: Around the World in 5 Days / Alrededor del mundo en 5 días

Spanish Immersion SMART Camp, Barbie & Ken Dream Builders Edition: Empowering Kids Through Smart Fun!

June 3-7 : Rising 1st-5th Grade

Time: 9 AM - 2 PM

Welcome to the Barbie & Ken Dream Builders SMART (Science, Multiculturalism, ART) Camp, where kids are inspired to dream big, explore their creativity, and discover the endless possibilities of their future! Over five days, our campers will dive into a world where fun meets education, exploring everything from fashion and design to science and wellness, all while celebrating the power and potential of being a kid. Included in our activities are design workshop, 3D printing, textile arts, hands-on floral and gardening, yoga and wellness, water games and more. Campers will design their own Ken and Barbie wearables, using their newfound skills!

Spanish Immersion SMART Camp, Superheroes Edition: Unleashing Powers Through Adventure and Learning

June 10-14 : Rising 1st-5th Grade

Time: 9 AM - 2 PM *Noon dismissal on June 14*

$250

Optional Add On: iFly experience on June 14 from 1-2 pm for additional $65

 

Welcome to Superheroes Camp, an exhilarating initiative by ANCS & GRacademic. This camp is designed for young minds to discover their inner superheroes, combining the excitement of superhero lore with practical skills in digital art, comic strip design, 3D printing, interactive role-play in English and Spanish, expression through music and dance, teamwork mission challenges, obstacle courses, and more. Campers will embark on adventures that not only test their physical and mental strengths, but also enhance their creative and technological talents.

*The Grand Finale: "Defying Gravity - A STEM Adventure at iFly" (Optional add on for $65)

Concluding the camp on a high note, our young heroes will experience the ultimate adventure at iFly, where they'll learn about the physics of flight. This action-packed finale combines the thrill of flying with educational insights, allowing campers to see firsthand how their favorite superheroes might feel soaring through the skies, all while understanding the scientific principles behind it.

 

The iFly experience will take place from 1-2 pm at iFly, with pickup directly from iFly.

Yes, Chef! Cooking Class

Session 1: June 3-7 (Ages 8-12)

Session 2: June 10-14 (Ages 4-7)

Welcome to our Summer Cooking Class! In this engaging 3-hour session, young chefs will embark on a culinary adventure where they'll explore ingredients, engage in hands-on cooking activities, and create delicious dishes under the guidance of an experienced chef. Beyond the kitchen, campers will learn about healthy eating habits, practice dining etiquette, and share meals with their peers. Join us for this culinary exploration, where children will gain practical life skills, independence, food literacy, and lasting memories!

“Take Off” DRONE Camp for Beginners

June 3-7

Limited to 10 participants, ages 9-15

9 am - 2 pm

$250

Explore the world of drone flying and learn the basics of  indoor and outdoors maneuvers for recreation drone piloting .   Students will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and be able to take the FAA TRUST Test. From there, they will progress through various skill challenges and learn how to perform various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. We will use iPads and remote controls to navigate the drones.  Participants will also create the design and help build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activity and competition.  Let’s “Take Off” into the world of STEM.

Option to buy an indoor drone at additional cost to camp fee.

“ Let’s GO” Beginning Coding and Robotics

June 10-14

Limited to 10 participants, ages 5-9

9 am - 2 pm

$250

Experience the fun of  building, coding, and operating robots from the VEX GO program. Students will solve unique challenges provided by the VEX 123 & VEX GO programs while earning virtual badges for their success. Students will also be introduced to code.org and SCRATCH as they learn the basics of block code.  They will leave camp with a strong knowledge of the coding, engineering design process, and a greater appreciation for all things STEM.
